Heavenly Father,
I come to You with a mother’s heart, lifting up Sarah and her fiancé into Your loving, wise, and Holy hands. Lord, You see every struggle, every wound, every hope and every fear that rests between them.
Father, I thank You that Sarah’s heart only desires growth, health, and truth. I thank You that You are already working in her life, drawing her closer to You. Lord, I ask that You continue to strengthen her resolve to walk in freedom, to cut down drinking, and to build a life anchored in Your peace.
Lord, I also lift up her fiancé to You. You know him completely: his past hurts, his hidden burdens, and the reasons behind his drinking. Father, if there is pain or fear driving him to this place, bring healing and light. Soften his heart to Your Spirit and give him the courage to confront what needs to change. God, I ask for supernatural clarity and discernment for Sarah. Help her to see her fiancé as You see him: not through fear or wishful thinking, but through Your truth. Reveal to her whether his actions come from deep sensitivity and brokenness that can be healed, or from patterns of manipulation and narcissism that would cause long-term harm. Let no confusion or false hope cloud her judgment, and let no fear or past pain push her away from what is good.
Lord, guard Sarah’s heart and protect her future. If this relationship is Your will, bring it into wholeness, honesty, and mutual respect. If it is not Your will, give Sarah the courage to walk away, trusting that You have something better.
Break the cycle of toxic arguments, alcohol dependence, and running away. Replace them with open conversation, accountability, and Your peace. Surround them both with wise counsel, godly friendships, and a desire to seek You first.
Above all, Lord, let Sarah know she is deeply loved by You. Strengthen her to wait on Your timing, to listen to Your voice above all others, and to value her worth as Your daughter.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen. Hallelujah!!!
