Please pray for the freeing of the hearts and minds of people who think that praying to dead saints in any way accomplishes getting closer to God (Jesus is Lord- 1st Corinthians 12:3 in NRSV-Catholic translation also). Please also pray that they be freed from the deception that the repetition of empty "extra-biblical" prayers are in any way preferable to God to honest humility before our Savior (Matthew 6: 7-8 From NRSV-Catholic Edition translation: "When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."). Pray that these people discover the true grace offered through direct access to the Father through the Son after the veil separating us from Him was torn upon the crucifixion of our Lord. Christianity is Christ ALONE, not Christ plus ritual.
